Celebrating Terry Hernandez
After nearly 30 years of dedicated leadership, Terry Hernandez is retiring from Chrysalis Foundation, leaving behind an extraordinary legacy of service, advocacy, and lasting impact.
Under Terry's leadership, Chrysalis has grown from a bold vision into one of Greater Des Moines' leading organizations dedicated to advancing opportunities for girls and women. Her commitment to education, equity, and community partnership has helped shape programs that have empowered thousands of girls, strengthened nonprofit organizations, and inspired generations of leaders.
While her day-to-day leadership may be coming to a close, the impact of her work will continue to be felt through every scholarship awarded, every after-school program delivered, and every life changed through the mission of Chrysalis.
We are deeply grateful for Terry's unwavering dedication and celebrate the remarkable legacy she leaves for our community.
