Her powerful storytelling through photography has earned international recognition for capturing both extraordinary hardship and extraordinary resilience.
In 2015, Addario published her New York Times bestselling memoir, It's What I Do, chronicling her personal and professional journey as a photojournalist coming of age in the post-9/11 world.
She later released Of Love and War, a celebrated collection of photography published by Penguin Press, and her remarkable life and career were recently featured in the acclaimed documentary Love + War, directed by Academy Award winners Jimmy Chin and Elizabeth Chai Vasarhelyi.
Her work reminds us that behind every statistic is a human story—and that awareness can become action.
