You can Establish Your Own Giving or Donor Circle for Chrysalis! What is a Giving Circle ? A Giving Circle (also known as a Donor Circle) is something like an investment club with a social conscience! Joining or forming a Giving Circle provides you with a hands-on opportunity to collaborate with others who share the desire to make focused, community investments with impact. How Do Giving Circles Work? To form a giving circle, donors typically pool their funds, and then make joint decisions about how to distribute the income and/or principal of these funds to a charitable organization such as the Chrysalis Foundation. The Chrysalis Foundation has many giving opportunities from which donors to chose – Chrysalis After-School, grantsto be given to Chrysalis programs which impact economic independence, leadership, self-sufficiency. Giving Circles vary in structure, size and charitable focus. Some Giving Circles are very informal, nothing more than a group of friends with a bank account who meet in each others' homes to discuss and decide on where their funds will go. Other Giving Circles have hundreds of members and governing boards, and may use a community foundation to manage the financial aspects of their giving. Members will often commit to participation in a Giving Circle for a number of years at an established dollar level. Interested?
