Meet the Chrysalis After-School Grantees
It's a new school year, and Chrysalis After-school will kickoff it off on September 13, 2007. This year's program will include 23 participating schools, including 7 elementary, 15 middle and 1 high school. This year's recipients include: Capitol View, Jackson, Carver, Monroe, Hillis, South Union and Moulton Elementary Schools; Brody, Callanan, Goodrell, Harding, Hiatt, Holy Family, Hoyt, Summit Middle School of Johnston, McCombs, Meredith, Merrill, Moulton, Southeast Polk, Weeks, and Woodside Middle Schools; and Southeast Polk High School.

The program has a comprehensive curriculum including academics, life skills, volunteerism, health and women's history. Chrysalis After-School also emphasizes financial literacy and career options to prepare girls for future educational and leadership opportunities, and for nontraditional careers. Studies show that participation in after school programs is linked to improved academic outcomes, positive youth development, and improved prevention outcomes.

Want to sponsor a girl this year in the program? The cost is only $300 each year. Click Here.
