Chrysalis Insights Luncheon – A HerStory Event Each year, the Chrysalis Foundation hosts community events to bring women together to network, to learn, and to meet with and hear from women leaders. The Chrysalis Insights Luncheon is our largest event and is held to raise funds and to advance Chrysalis’ mission of building stronger futures for women and girls. The Foundation fulfills its mission by promoting economic self-sufficiency, independence and leadership opportunities for all women and girls. The keynote speaker is Ms. Helen Thomas. Commonly referred to as "The First Lady of the Press," former White House Bureau Chief Helen Thomas is a trailblazer, breaking through barriers for women reporters while covering every President since John F. Kennedy. Ms Thomas will inspire Central Iowa with this highly motivating and thought-provoking speaker who will share her insights and perspectives from the past 60 plus years with the people of central Iowa.
