Women's Alliance

"When women are fully involved, the benefits can be seen immediately:  families are healthier; they are better fed; their income, savings, and reinvestment go up.  And what is true of families is true of communities, and, eventually, the world."  Former UN Secretary General, Kofi Annan

Just as important as the girls and women in our community are the multitude of organizations serving them. For Chrysalis, these are our partners, doing the day-to-day work of sheltering, educating, strengthening, and ensuring that girls and women are able to be self-sufficient, productive, and stable persons, and that leadership and future opportunities are open and accessible to them.

These partners are the Women’s Alliance.

The Women’s Alliance keeps Chrysalis informed about what’s happening in individual lives, families, and neighborhoods that affect the girls and women they serve. We work together. We identify key barriers together. We learn together. We advocate together. We collaborate together and with other key stakeholders.

Since 2006, Chrysalis has convened and facilitated regular meetings of the Women’s Alliance, providing capacity-building educational programs to ensure that these organizations are strong, stable, and more effective in their important work.
