The Chrysalis Foundation celebrated its 20th anniversary and "THE POWER OF HER" with over 360 guests from throughout the community at the 2009 Insights Event, held November 5th at the Des Moines Marriott Downtown.

Keynote speaker Jackie Norris provided a powerful message and wonderful framework on where and how to find "power" within ourselves.  Norris currently serves as the Senior Advisor to the Corporation for National and Community Service.

The annual event highlights the Chrysalis Foundation's work to support girls and women as it also brings women together to network, learn and be inspired by motivating and thought-provoking speakers. This years' event raised over $75,000 to support girls' and women's programs in Greater Des Moines.

The Tribute Book will be released to the public on Wednesday, May 5th from 5-7 pm, at Artis Home Gallerie, 5472 Wild Rose Lane, Suite 1008, West Des Moines (located within West Glen Town Center).  A Tribute Book makes a great gift for Mother's Day (and costs only $20)!
